Utah - Rocky Mountain Power - ENERGY STAR New Homes Program for Builders


Applicable Sectors: Residential and Multi-Family Residential

Summary:
The Rocky Mountain Power ENERGY STAR New Homes program offers cash incentives to contractors who build energy-efficient homes. To qualify for this incentive, the new home must meet the basic ENERGY STAR specifications and have low-e windows. Contractors building qualified homes can earn rebates worth $350 per single-family home, or $250 per unit for multi-family homes. Additional rebates ranging from $10 per unit to $300 per home are available to contractors who install energy-saving measures/equipment which surpass ENERGY STAR home requirements. Participating contractors also have the opportunity to be featured in Rocky Mountain Power-sponsored advertising and marketing, and can have access to additional cooperative marketing funds to promote their company as a program participant. Summary:
Rocky Mountain Power's FinAnswer Express Program includes incentives and technical assistance for lighting, motors and HVAC equipment upgrades that increase energy efficiency and exceed code requirements in commercial and industrial facilities. Both retrofits of existing equipment and new construction projects are eligible. For retrofits, the utility may need to verify existing equipment. Prescriptive rebates are available for pre-approved lighting systems, HVAC equipment and efficient motors. Rebates may also be available for custom efficiency projects; interested customers should call Rocky Mountain Power for more information. Summary:
Rocky Mountain Power provides incentives for its residential customers to increase the energy efficiency of their homes through their Home Energy Savings Program. Rebates are available through this program for ENERGY STAR qualified clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, water heaters, room air conditioners, heat pumps, compact fluorescent fixtures and windows. Utah - Rocky Mountain Power - Self-Direction Credit Program


Applicable Sectors: Commercial and Industrial

Summary:
Rocky Mountain Power offers a Self-Direction Credit program to its industrial and large commercial customers with annual electric usage of more than 5,000,000 kWh or a peak load of 1,000 kW or more. Through this program, customers who pursue self-investments in energy efficiency and related demand-side management projects can receive credits of up to 80% of eligible costs. The credit is applied against 100% of the customer’s monthly Customer Efficiency Services charge on their electric bill, until the entire credit is used. The Customer Efficiency Services charge was approved by the Utah Public Service Commission on September 23, 2003 at the request of Rocky Mountain Power as a way to collect the costs associated with DSM as a separate Customer Efficiency Services line item on customer bills rather than including those costs as part of general rates.
