Summary:
Bay State Gas Company offers its multi-family, commercial and industrial customers the Partners in Energy Program, which provides rebates for energy efficient improvements to their facilities. The Partners in Energy program will perform a free energy assessment study and provide the customer with an “offer sheet report” listing energy-saving measures that are qualified for incentives. If the customer decides to make any of the recommended improvements, Bay State Gas will help find the customer a contractor and provide the predetermined rebate. For multifamily complexes and small businesses the rebate is 50% of the project cost up to $50,000. For large businesses the rebate is 50% of the qualified cost up to $100,000 and 50% of the cost for a licensed professional engineer to perform the scoping study up to a maximum amount of $7,500. Summary:
Bay State Gas's Partner in Energy Program will pay residential customers 50% of the cost, up to $1,500, of weatherizing their homes or apartments. Bay State Gas will perform an energy assessment and provide its customers with an "offer sheet report" listing energy-saving measures that qualify for incentives. If requested, the Partners in Energy Program can also provide their customers with a pre-approved independent installation contractor. Energy saving measures eligible for the rebate include: Attic, wall, and heating pipe/duct insulation and thermostats. When needed, water heater tank wrap, low-flow showerheads, and faucet aerators will be installed at no cost. Low-income customers are eligible to receive all of these measures at no cost. Summary:
Berkshire Gas offers all residential customers (including renters and multi-family properties) various energy efficiency rebates. Berkshire Gas will pay residential customers that use gas to heat their homes 50% of the installed cost (up to $1,500) of certain pre-determined energy efficiency measures listed on their website. For low-income customers, a rebate of 100% of the installed cost for the listed energy saving measures will be provided. The rebate will be made directly to the installation contractor. Berkshire Gas also offers rebates for heating systems and water heaters that vary from $150-$500 depending on equipment technology and efficiency rating. $25 rebates are available for Energy Star thermostats and $10 rebates for every Energy Star Window purchased. North Attleborough Electric Department offers an incentive for its business customers to upgrade their lighting through their Power Saver Rebate Program. To qualify for this rebate, business customers must first schedule a free lighting audit by calling (508) 643-6310. The audit report will identify qualified lighting improvement possibilities for the facility and customers will have 30 days to call NAED stating their commitment to have some or all of the work done. Massachusetts’s Unitil offers multiple energy efficiency programs for their commercial and industrial customers. The Small Business Services program offers rebates to its business customers with average monthly demands less than 100 kW for improving energy efficiency in their facilities. Unitil performs a free technical assessment of the facility and develops a comprehensive energy efficiency proposal including detailed equipment specification, project costs, energy savings analysis, and project payback. Approved measures include: high efficiency lighting, efficient motors, refrigeration and refrigeration controls, and customized projects. Massachusetts - Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department - Residential Conservation Services Program

Summary:
The Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department (WMGLD), in cooperation with the Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company (MMWEC), offers the Residential Conservation Services (RCS) program for residential customers to save energy in their homes. Customers interested in this program first call an energy hotline to order free informative brochures and see if they qualify for assistance. Next, an energy audit that evaluates the home's heating and hot water systems, shell insulation, appliances, windows, doors, and lighting occurs, and a WMGLD representative creates a report with certain energy efficiency suggestions. If the customer decides to make any of the recommended changes, WMGLD will pay for 25% of the costs of installation and equipment up to $300.
