Indiana - Clark County REMC - Geothermal and Air to Air Heat Pump Rebate

Summary:
Clark County REMC provides incentives for their residential members to upgrade to more efficient heating and cooling equipment. Rebates are available for both air-source and geothermal heat pumps with a SEER greater than or equal to 13. Members can also receive a $200 rebate for replacing a water heater over 5 years of age with a newer electric model, or for installing an efficient electric water heater in a new home. A rebate for $250 is available to Dubois REC customers who install an air to air heat pump in a new home or install one as a replacement for an oil or gas furnace. Indiana - Duke Energy - Small Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Summary:
Duke Energy encourages its business customers to increase the energy efficiency of their facilities through their Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program. The equipment rebates provided through this program are available to all of their Indiana commercial and industrial customers with a demand of 500 kW or less. Eligible products include lighting equipment, HVAC equipment and motors and pumps. The energy efficient equipment can be installed in new or existing facilities, with the exception of some of the lighting products, whose rebates apply to retrofits only. Customers may install the equipment themselves, but those installations will have to be inspected by Duke Energy before the rebate is awarded. Learn more...

Indiana - Duke Energy - Smart Saver Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Summary:
Duke Energy provides a financial incentive for its residential customers to purchase energy efficient HVAC products through their Smart Saver program. Rebates are available for geothermal heat pumps and air-source heat pumps and central air conditioners with a SEER value greater than or equal to 14. The rebates are offered for units installed in both new and existing homes, but the rebate is higher for new homes. Customers who install heat pumps, either air-source or geothermal will also be rewarded by Duke Energy with an electric rate reduction between October and May. Indiana - Indiana Office of Energy and Defense Development - Residential Geothermal Heat Pump Rebate

On Oct. 1, 2007 Indiana began offering residential homeowners a rebate for installing geothermal heat pumps in replacement of existing space-conditioning systems. The incentive is set at $400/ton of capacity and while there is no explicit limit on the size of the geothermal system, the rebate is capped at $2,000. A total of $500,000 is available for rebates and the program will remain active until funds are exhausted. Miami-Cas Rural Electric Membership Cooperative (REMC) is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving customers in central Indiana. Miami-Cass REMC is offering its residential customers a bill credit for the purchase and installation of energy efficient heat pumps. If a customer purchases an add-on heat pump that has an electric backup, the customer is eligible for a $500 bill credit, and if the heat pump has a fossil fuel backup, the customer is eligible for a $100 bill credit. The purchase of a geothermal heat pump will earn the customer a $500 bill credit. In order to qualify for this rebate incentive, the heat pumps must have a SEER rating of 13 or higher and should show Miami-Cass REMC a paid invoice for the heat pump within 90 days of the installation. Northeastern Rural Electric Membership Corporation (REMC) is a consumer-owned corporation that supplies electric power to more than 25,000 members in portions of Allen, Huntington, Kosciusko, Noble, Wabash and Whitley counties in Northeastern Indiana. Northeastern REMC offers rebates to its residential customers for the purchase of technologies that save energy, such as heat pumps and electric thermal storage units. Geothermal heat pumps are eligible for a rebate of $500 or $100 per ton, up to $1000, whichever is greater. Air source add-on heat pumps are eligible for a $250 rebate, as are electric thermal storage units. All of these rebates will be granted as credits on electric bills. Paulding-Putnam Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative that provides electric service to more than 12,500 customers in Indiana and Ohio. Paulding-Putnam EC offers rebates for heat pumps for its residential customers. Customers who purchase an electric add-on heat pump are eligible for a $850 rebate, and customers who purchase a geothermal heat pump are eligible for a $1200. To be eligible for the rebate, the customer should have the heat pump system installed by a qualified heating-cooling contractor, and inspected by a representative from Paulding-Putnam EC. For the geothermal heat pump system, the customer should consent to having a load management switch installed by Paulding-Putnam EC to be eligible for the rebate. Rush Shelby Energy provides a rebate program to help offset the cost of air to air heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps and water heaters. Wabash Rural Electric Membership Cooperative (REMC) is a member-owned electric distribution organization that provides service to customers in north-central Indiana. To encourage energy efficiency, Wabash County REMC offers rebates to its residential customers for the purchase of efficient heat pumps and water heaters. Customers can receive $600 for the purchase of an electric heat pump or a geothermal heat pump. Wabash County REMC does not require a particular efficiency, but does recommend more high efficiency systems for the most benefit for the customer and the REMC. In addition to this heat pump rebate, Wabash County REMC also offers its residential customers a $1.50 bill credit for every month that they have a radio-controlled water heater switch installed on their electric water heater.
