Arizona - SRP - EarthWise Solar Energy

Applicable Sectors: Commerical and Residential (SRP Territory Only)

Summary:
SRP's EarthWise Solar Energy Program provides incentives to residential and commercial customers who purchase photovoltaic (PV) or solar water-heating systems. For residential and commercial PV systems up to 10 kilowatts (kW) in capacity, the incentive is $3/watt DC, with a maximum payment of $30,000 per system. For commercial PV systems over 10 kW in capacity, the incentive is $2.50/watt DC, with a maximum payment of $500,000 per system. For these larger PV systems, the incentive is adjusted based on the expected energy generation and verified during a 30-day performance test. A more detailed application process is required for systems over 10 kW in capacity. (Click here for more information on incentives for commercial applications.) Through the SunWatts Program, Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC) offers home and business owners a rebate of $4/W DC for installing photovoltaic systems. The maximum incentive is $8,000 for individual residential units and $20,000 for small business/commercial units (with a maximum rebate of 50% total unit cost).
