SmartBeam is a 100% recycled steel I-beam with either round or hexagonal holes in the web. The openings in the web make for a lighter beam that allows electrical and mechanical systems to occupy the same space as the floor structure. SmartBeam is a resource-efficient I-beam that enables additional resource savings by reducing building heights and weights.

Tri-Chord Studs are designed to minimize thermal bridging. They have the highest thermal, seismic, acoustic and fire ratings of all steel framing as well as a one-hour fire rating and 160 mph wind rating. Our structural, load bearing 43 mil studs, will carry approx. 7,000 pounds.

Tri-Chords Steel carries open web floor and roof trusses that provide silent, sturdy floors and roofs. Our trusses provide for easy attachment of wood decking without the use of screws. We have complete layouts and engineering packages available and can provide for complex designs including cantilevers and soffits.
